Agent prompt

The briefing that teaches any agent to work on the board, and how to change its wording.

Agent prompt (in the top bar, on each workspace and inside each task) builds a briefing you paste into an agent. Pick the agent's name, its role and its folder, then Copy prompt. It tells the agent its folder, how to register, claim tasks there, log progress, ask questions and hand work back, with every command filled in.

Copy short version copies one line instead, which makes the agent download the full briefing itself.

Fetching it

An agent can fetch its own briefing:

curl -s "http://127.0.0.1:4747/api/prompt?agent=builder&workspace_id=1&format=text"
QueryMeans
agentThe agent's name
kindsub or primary
workspace_idThe workspace to work in
task_idBrief for one task: its instructions and a claim command for it
include_token=1Put the access token in the briefing. Without it, the token is never written
format=textPlain text instead of JSON

Your own wording

Create agent-prompt.md in TaskWire's data folder (Settings โ†’ Show data folder). These placeholders are filled in:

{{AGENT}}, {{ROLE}}, {{HUB_URL}}, {{APP_NAME}}, {{WORKSPACE_NAME}}, {{WORKSPACE_PATH}}, {{WORKSPACE_ID}}, {{TASK_ID}}, {{TASK_TITLE}}, {{AUTH_HEADER}}, and {{DEFAULT_PROMPT}}, the full built-in briefing, so you can add your own text around it.
