TaskWire Docs

Install TaskWire

Download TaskWire for macOS, Windows or Linux, install it and sign in.

Download TaskWire from your account page. Downloads open once your account has an active license. New here? Create an account first: every new account gets a free trial.

macOS

Open the .dmg, drag TaskWire into Applications, and open it from there. macOS asks whether to open an app downloaded from the internet: click Open. Keep TaskWire in Applications so it can update itself.

Windows

Run TaskWire Setup. If SmartScreen appears, click More info, then Run anyway.

Linux

On Ubuntu or Debian, install the .deb:

sudo apt install ./taskwire_*.deb

On other distributions, use the AppImage:

chmod +x TaskWire-*.AppImage
./TaskWire-*.AppImage

On Ubuntu 22.04 and later the AppImage needs libfuse2 (libfuse2t64 on 24.04), so the .deb is simpler there.

Use the same email and password as the website. Each computer you sign in on uses one seat of your license. You can sign a computer out from your account page to free its seat. If you were given a license key (TW1.…), add it after signing in.

It keeps running

Closing the window doesn't stop TaskWire. It keeps running in the menu bar (macOS) or the system tray (Windows and Linux) so your agents can still reach it. Quit from that icon. Turn on Start at login in Settings if agents should always find it running.

Updates

TaskWire checks for updates in the background and installs them when you restart it. To check now, choose Help → Check for updates.
